Marilyn G's Story

Year Diagnosed: 2005
Type of Cancer: ovarian

I was 36 yrs. old when I was diagnosed with Stage 3C ovarian cancer in June 2005. I was never more shocked in my life and for the next six months I felt like I was living in a state of suspended animation. I fought this disease with everything inside of me and I wanted so badly to live for my husband and children. My walk with the Lord grew deeper and the nights where I couldn't sleep because of intense pain I turned to God in prayer. Let me tell you when Jesus said that you can do "all things through Christ who strengthens you" he was not kidding. He was with me when I had my surgery, chemo., and being bald as a newborn babe. I've had two CT scans since last August and they've both come back clear of any traces of cancer or nodules. If you need any encouragement read, Psalms 23, 4 & 5. Those verses really are true and they'll help you immensely.
