Lisa N's Story

Year Diagnosed: 2006
Type of Cancer: ovarian

In early January I started having leg pain and was diagnosed with blood clots. In March the doctor finally stopped to look at the CT scans from January and saw that my only remaining ovary (after a hysterectomy in 93) was enlarged. Actually, the doctor said, "Your uterus is enlarged." To which I replied, "I don't have a uterus." Needless to say, my faith in doctors is not what it used to be. Advocate for yourself, read everything and ask questions. I've had 4 of 8 chemotherapy treatments. I hope and pray to be a survivor. Please email me if you'd like: otisandrita@verizon.net
