Kimberly B's Story

Year Diagnosed: 2007
Type of Cancer: ovarian

I was 34 years old when I was DX. with Stage IIIC Ovarian Cancer. I had no family history and I went for regular check ups at the doctors. Wall of Hope | Kimberly BWhen I was first DX. those words you have cancer were the hardest words I could hear. I am a mother of three beautiful girls and have the best husband in the world. I can't say that I do not have my days where I wonder what will happen if I am not here with them, however I am greatful every day for the treatments that are available to us. I have had 39 surgery's in 18 months. I have had some other issues due to chemo, my bowel has a narrowing and I have tubes in both my kidneys because my ureters are not working properly however during these times you have to look at life one day at a time. I have learned through all of this to just sit back and laugh not only at myself but everything around me. I have not been able to get into remission however each day I am here for my family is a blessing!
