Judy B's Story

Year Diagnosed: 2004
Type of Cancer: ovarian

When I was diagnosed in Feb. 2004 I was in disbelief but kept a positive attitude and always believed I would survive, through all those horrible eight rounds of chemo that I took in the study I enrolled in. I have a wonderful husband and family and I looked ahead to the many great things that would occur in the years to come. I had the marriages of my two daughters, the births of a granddaughter and a grandson from my son and daughter-in-law, and I also looked ahead to my five year anniversary of being cancer free. It came this year and as I had planned, my husband and I took our trip to Hawaii where we were joined by my daughters and their husbands.

Five years is a great feeling and I look forward to the next five! My CA125 is really low and I am happy to be cancer free, I hope for many years to come. Keep a positive swing on life and look ahead to a long life of health and happiness with many happy milestones in future years to celebrate.
