Sisterhood of Survivorship
Sharing, Caring, Surviving
Brenda L's Story
Year Diagnosed: 2005
Type of Cancer: ovarian
I've survived 1 year after ovarian cancer surgery at stage 3C. Feel great. Look good. Outlook is of the utmost importance for surviving cancer. Look ahead, making plans for life, watching grandbabies grow up. Staying in prayer & having gratitude for all I've been blessed with. Family & friends' support. After surgery my family has a monthly dinner at one's home. It's a great time to share and be together. Work helps with mental well being. Having confidence and faith in my doctors is a plus. I responded positively after surgery and after first Carboplatin treatment. CA125 dropped dramatically below normal. Daily prayers for yourself are important and giving back is a greater importance for you. B.L.
