Barbara I's Story
Year Diagnosed: 2005
Type of Cancer: ovarian
My journey started in May '05, I had a look-see surgery when my tumor was found, and at that time told it was not cancer. Two weeks later I was told that they reviewed my slides again and had 50/50 chance of having cancer. That went on for 3 months. I finally had surgery and in August was diagnosed with O.C. Since then I have had 3 major surgeries, with the last one being 11 hours. I have had 48 treatments of chemo, went into remission once for 11 months (YEA). My last chemo was 2/13/09, and am in remission again. I love my life, my God, grandchildren and family. I have and will always have a positive attitude.
