Cindy N's Story
Year Diagnosed: 2004
Type of Cancer: Uterine
I was diagnosed with uterine cancer(stage 3) on Feb.9,2004. I under went surgery on Feb. 17th and returned home on Feb. 20th. My oncologist prescribed six rounds of chemo, and I began tretment on Mar. 10th. During treatment (2 chemo drugs), I experienced no nausea and only some aching in my legs for a couple of days after treatment. I took my final treatment on June 24,2004. Following these treatments, I have continued to see my oncologist, have had lab tests, several cat scans and a colonsocopy. All have been normal.
This has been a seven year journey for me, but I reached my destination on Feb.21,2011 when my gyn-oncologist dismissed me from her care.
I had four wonderful doctors. My husband was by my side as I under went each treatment. His prayers and those of friends and co-workers played such an important part in my recovery.
My hope and prayer for all who read this is that you experienced a total recovery just as I did. IT IS POSSIBLE!
