Type of Cancer: cervical
I am a 8 year survivor. Thanks to a wonderful compassionate Dr. Taylor and surgeon Dr. Lucci at UTMB/Galveston, TX. When I found out I had cervical cancer and told my husband he ask me how much was that going to cost him? HIM? Well at that moment I turned to the Lord and my doctors and we fought it together! To all those women that do not have a support group I just want them to know they are NOT alone! Fight for YOUR life, pray, get a doctor that will listen and most of all keep the faith. I also found humor a big help. I would joke around with my doctor and we would laugh together. Tell your doctor what is going on in your life and they can and most will help you. Thank you to all the researchers and doctors and volunteers! We need you all to keep helping us fight!!!
