The Gynecologic Cancer Foundation (GCF) was founded by the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists (SGO) in 1991. GCF’s mission, in concert with SGO, is to support research, education and public awareness of gynecologic cancer prevention, early detection and optimal treatment. GCF advances this mission by increasing public and private funds that aid in the development and implementation of programs to meet these goals.

GCF Releases Ovarian Cancer Risk Brochure
A new GCF brochure details the risk of ovarian cancer for all women. Understanding Your Risks of Ovarian Cancer: A Woman’s Guide outlines the symptoms of ovarian cancer, describes personal levels of risks for average women, as well as those with increased risk, and offers screening and prevention strategies that can reduce the risk. New $50,000 Annual Prize for Outstanding Gynecologic Cancer Researcher Annouced
The Claudia Cohen Research Foundation in association with the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation announces a new annual $50,000 Prize for Outstanding Gynecologic Cancer Researcher.
This $50,000 annual prize will be awarded to an individual in recognition of his or her outstanding contributions to research improving the care of women with gynecologic cancer. The awardees will have made important contributions that improve gynecologic cancer patient care, including early detection. The award will be made to the individual rather than his/her institution.
