Summary:
The National Ovarian Cancer Association, formerly Corinne Boyer Fund, a Canadian organization, is dedicated to overcoming ovarian cancer, providing leadership by supporting women living with the disease, building awareness in the general public, encouraging research into early detection, improved treatment and ultimately, a cure for this disease. Programs for education include two Web sites with resource information and a package for general information about ovarian cancer with video, "Listen to the Whispers." The association has also funded a Chair in Ovarian Cancer research at the University of Ottawa and sponsored a national forum on the disease.
