Grants and Awards 2001 - 2002 GCF/Miles For Women Research Scientist Award for Gynecologic
Cancer

| • | Principal investigators who apply for this grant must be a full, candidate or associate member of the Society of Oncologist’s (SGO). |
| • | The award of $75,000 supports a 12-month period of research. The award maybe renewed a second-year. Applicants are invited to send 12-month and/or 24-month proposals for this award. |
| • | Supports promising research by an early-career investigator in preparation for a major proposal to research the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancer. |
| • | Grant monies must be devoted to the active research project. |
| • | Supports the best project application based on originality, significance, appropriateness, and applicability. |
| • | Leaves the grant announcement, evaluation of proposals, and the final award up to GCF and its peer review process. |
| • | GCF-MILES-FOR-WOMEN GRANTS DO NOT PAY FOR INDIRECT COSTS. (Indirect costs include but are not limited to administrative costs of the university, usual criteria established for grant overhead, or other costs such as laboratory space.) |
| • | TRAVEL TO PRESENT DATA RESULTING FROM THIS SUPPORT IS PERMISSIBLE. |
