Mission of the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation

The mission of the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation (GCF) is to ensure public awareness of gynecologic cancer prevention, early diagnosis and proper treatment as well as supports research and training related to gynecologic cancers. GCF advances this mission by increasing public and private funds that aid in the development and implementation of programs to meet these goals.

GCF programs are designed to:

1 Increase public awareness of ways to prevent, detect and treat gynecologic cancers;
2 Increase public awareness of the central role of gynecologic oncologists in these activities;
3 Train a cadre of clinicians/scientists to participate in clinically relevant research in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute;
4 Support promising, innovative research related to malignancies arising in gynecologic organs.
