GCF/NCI Fellow Makes Progress

GCF/NCI Fellow, Dr. Kristin Zorn, continues to make research progress on her project entitled "Gene Expressions Profile of Ovarian Cancer Histologic Suptypes". Dr. Zorn's project utilizes cDNA microarrays to generate gene expression profiles of the histologic subtypes of ovarian and endometrial cancers. These profiles are being compared amongst themselves, as well as to normal ovarian and endometrial tissues. The goal is to determine whether an expression signature exists for each histologic subtype and to explore the pathways responsible for transformation from normal to malignant cells.
