SGO/GCF Co-Sponsor Prestigious Conference

SGO and GCF had the honorable task of co-sponsoring the American Social Health Association/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conference on May 20-24 in North Carolina. The agenda for the esteemed conference included overviews of each of the gynecologic cancers by the specialists who treat them. Speakers included Drs. Austin, Berchuck, Fowler and Partridge. To supplement these overviews, a survivor of each cancer also spoke to offer a patient’s perspective.

GCF Executive Director, Karen Carlson, moderated the first day program, during which she gave a presentation providing background information about the Society and the Foundation. The conference also provided the perfect opportunity to distribute SGO/GCF information to all attendees.
