Chairman’s Message: Setting the Stage for Success
Having spent the past few months trying to settle in as chairman of the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation (GCF), I feel very fortunate that I have wonderful people to work with.
We have an extraordinarily dedicated group of individuals working to ensure the success of our Foundation.
I have spent a great deal of time finalizing the GCF/NCI (National Cancer Institute)-sponsored fellowship. It has been a pleasure to work with Dr. Ed Liu at the NCI and it appears that we now have the program in place. All program directors have been notified of the fellowship’s availability. I’m sure this will be a successful program that will help gynecologic oncologists everywhere.
As you approach the end of your tax year, please contribute to our organization. We at the GCF surely need it, and I can assure you that any money you invest in this Foundation will pay great dividends for all of us.
I hope that everyone had a very pleasant summer and had an opportunity to get away from the rigors of work and enjoy some well-deserved vacation time. I look forward to seeing each of you soon.
