New Patient Brochure

Free Holders Also Available

Already making bold strides in 1997, the GCF Communications Committee has completed the expanded patient-education brochure for women entitled Maintaining Your Gynecologic Health With Education and Early Detection.

The new brochure has been carefully designed to help women understand how reproductive cancers are diagnosed and treated, and what symptoms are associated with each disease. A copy of the brochure was sent to all SGO/GCF members.

A form accompanying the brochure provided members the opportunity to order 50 free copies of the brochure for distribution to patients.

Since the letter was mailed in January 1997, over 15,000 brochures have been ordered by more than 300 members. A brochure will also be mailed to individuals who call the 1/800 "Information Hotline" or GCF Headquarters. Additional copies of the brochure will be available to members, as well.

Also, the GCF Executive Committee has agreed to provide clear brochure holders for GCF members to be placed in patient waiting rooms at no cost. The brochure holders will be available at the GCF booth during SGO's Annual Meeting.
