Cher Shows Commitment to Women's Health
When popular performer, Cher, learned about GCF and its important mission,
she was delighted to assist GCF in its undertaking to enhance public awareness
related to gynecologic cancers.
She helped to create a public service announcement (PSA) at no cost to
GCF. In the announcement, Cher urges women to call GCF's 1/800 "Information
Hotline" to become informed about reproductive cancers and to obtain
additional information.
The Cher PSA will be made available for viewing at the GCF Booth during
SGO's Annual Meeting in March. The Communications Committee is currently
researching options for producing the video to be telecast nationwide with
guaranteed placement during prime time.
