New Patient Brochure, Book on GCF Horizon

The GCF Communications Committee is currently working on an expanded patient-education brochure to replace the current "Active Prevention" brochure for women. This new edition will cover prevention and will briefly discuss each gynecologic cancer by site.

In the past, the GCF has provided the "Active Prevention" brochure to over 50,000 people through calls to the GCF 1/800 "Information Hotline" and the GCF headquarters, and through member orders.

To further expand the patient-education efforts of the GCF, members including Carolyn Runowicz, MD, GCF Secretary and past Communications Committee Chair, and Beth Karlan, MD, current Communications Committee Chair, are compiling a book on gynecologic cancers for the public.

While the content is being coordinated and reviewed, a publisher is being sought for the book yet to be titled.
