The Gynecologic Cancer Foundation (GCF) was established by the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists (SGO) in 1991 as a not-for profit charitable organization to raise funds to support philanthropic programs to benefit women who have, or who are at risk for, developing a gynecologic cancer.
GCF programs are designed to:
Raise public awareness of ways to prevent, detect and treat gynecologic cancers;
Provide education about gynecologic cancers and the central role of gynecologic oncologists in these activities;
Support promising, innovative gynecologic cancer research and train a cadre of clinicians/scientists to participate in clinically relevant research in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute.
A Cervical Cancer Resource List developed as part of the GCF National Cervical Cancer Public Education Campaign is now available online!
