Vulvar Cancer Pathophysiology

The way a cancer tends to spread is called its pathophysiology. If it spreads, cancer that begins in the vulva tends to spread to the tissues just outside the vulva first, such as the vagina, urethra, and anus. It may spread further into the pelvic area – including organs and tissues in the pelvic area and the lymph nodes in the groin and pelvis. In its later stages, vulvar cancer may spread to the bladder or the rectum or be carried to distant organs by the bloodstream.
