Statistics About Vaginal Cancer
Some people use statistics to try to figure out their chances of getting cancer. Or they use them to try to figure out their chance of being cured. Statistics show what happens with large groups of people. But no two people are alike. Therefore, you can’t use statistics to know or predict what will happen to you.
These are some 2008 vaginal cancer statistics from the American Cancer Society.
- Vaginal cancer is rare. It accounts for about 3% of all reproductive cancers in women.
- About 2,210 women will be diagnosed with the disease this year.
- An estimated 760 women will die from vaginal cancer this year.
